Overview

Bhutan is a democratic constitutional monarchy with a King as the head of state and a prime minister as the head of government.Bhutan, a Buddhist kingdom on the Himalayas’ eastern edge, is known for its monasteries, fortresses (or dzongs) and dramatic landscapes that range from subtropical plains to steep mountains and valleys. In the High Himalayas, peaks such as 7,326m Jomolhari are popular trekking destinations. Paro Taktsang monastery (also known as Tiger’s Nest) clings to cliffs above the forested Paro Valley.

DAY 01 :Arrive at IXB / NJP/ HASIMARA RAILWAY STATION 

On arrival you will be received by our Professional representative with a traditional welcome and proceed for Phuentsholing for making permits (980 ft. /142 km/3 hours)( HASIMARA to Phuentsholing 20 km/ 40 min),through the lush green as well as most beautiful Tea garden in Duars. On arrival at Phuentsholing, After making permits drive to the Capital city THIMPU in Bhutan checks in into your respective hotel.On the way you may visit Kharbandi Ghumpha-a Buddhist Monestry.Here you get the finest view of Phuntsoling and Jaigaon township lies in the valley of Torsa River. Overnight stay in THIMPU.


DAY 02 : FULL DAY THIMPHU TOUR


After breakfast your 6N 7D Bhutan Package starts for Thimphu Sight Seeing –

1: Buddha Point

 2: Folk Heritage Museum 3: Tashichodzong

  4: BBS Tower 5: National Takin Zoo 

6: National Memorial Chorten Over Night in Thimphu.


DAY 3 : THIMPHU -> PUNAKHA 

After breakfast, start for Punakha. One the way, visit

Dochula view point stop: The first stop after leaving Thimphu on the journey is Dochu La Pass around 3100 m high and way above the clouds. Only an hour's drive from Thimphu, it offers visitors their first glimpse of the Eastern Himalayan range. From the pass the road curls its way down into the relative lowlands of the Punakha Valley. Before Thimphu was made the permanent capital of Bhutan.

In Punakha , you also visit

Punakha Dzong - beautiful Punakha Dzong(known as the "the palace of great happiness" ),located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu (father) and Mo Chhu (mother) rivers in the Punakha-Wangdue valley. the city's dzong is one of the most picturesque of all Bhutan's ancient fortresses The dzong is joined to the mainland by an arched wooden bridge, and contains many precious relics from the days when successive kings reined the kingdom from this valley.

Suspension Bridge - Visit the hidden treasure of Punakha Valley,the longest suspension bridge over River Mo.

Wangdue - After crossing the Fo-Chu-Mo-Chu river , driver along the Wangdue phradong and visit newly developed small beautiful town,Bazo Town in Wangdue.

Overnight stay in Punakha.



DAY 4 : PUNAKHA - PARO  

In the morning, after breakfast , start for Paro , the picturesque town in Bhutan enroute Simtokha Dzong is a small dzong, Built in 1629 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, who unified Bhutan, the dzong is the first of its kind built in Bhutan. An important historical monument and former Buddhist monastery, today it houses one of the premier Dzongkha language learning institutes.

National Museum of Bhutan - Situated right above Rinpung Dzong in Paro, the National Museum of Bhutan is a house that showcases Bhutan's culture. Built in 1968, the museum stands inside the ancient Ta-dzong building. The museum houses the collection of finest specimens of Bhutanese culture and art and its highlights are paintings and some bronze statues, which are simply masterpieces. The items are demonstrated in large galleries and you can get to know a lot about Bhutan's art and culture from these objects.

Ta Dzong - Ta Dzong, once a watchtower, built to defend Rinpung Dzong during inter-valley wars of the 17th century, Ta Dzong was inaugurated as Bhutan's National Museum in 1968.

Rinpung Dzong - Built in 1646 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal , the first spiritual and temporal ruler of Bhutan, the Dzong houses the monastic body of Paro, the office of the Dzongda (district administrative head) and Thrimpon (judge) of Paro district. The approach to the Dzong is through a traditional covered bridge called Nemi Zam.

Nya Mey Zam Bridge - "The Bridge with No Fish" is the bridge that connects Paro Town to Dzong. It is one of finest specimens in Bhutan and local believes if one sees a fish in the river, it is ill omen. The earlier bridge which could be folded during war was washed away by flood in 1969.

Paro Airport View Point - This is finest valley view point to look after Paro Valley and Paro Airport . This view point overlooking the Paro river along with the all the Dzongs and Monastry .

DAY 5 :PARO SIGHTSEEING - 

TAKTSANG MONASTERY

Drukgyal Dzong - Drukgyal Dzong was a fortress and Buddhist monastery, now in ruins, located in the upper part of the Paro valley in Paro District of Bhutan. The Dzong was probably built by Tenzin Drukdra in 1649 at the behest of Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal to commemorate victory over an invasion from Tibet.

Kyichu Lhakhang - Kyichu Lhakhang, (also known as Kyerchu Temple or Lho Kyerchu) is an important Himalayan Buddhist temple situated in Lamgong Gewog of Paro District in Bhutan. The Jowo Temple of Kyichu is one of the oldest temples in Bhutan, originally built in the 7th century by the Tibetan Emperor Songsten Gampo.

Taktsang Monastery - If you can brave the risky cliffs on a high mountain, Paro will astonish you in the form of Taktsang Monastery. After covering 1200 metres on a fierce cliff you will reach this sacred site, also known as the Tiger's Nest. Take a deep breath after reaching the spot and then comfort your eyes and soul with the stunning view of the scenic surroundings and the valley lying underneath. The Taktsang Monastery was established by Sain Guru Rinpoche who came to Bhutan in 747 CE. Construction of the complex was completed in 1694. Discovering the Tiger's Nest after 3 hours of trekking is real adventure but you may also opt for a horse ride from the parking lot. Overnight in Paro.



DAY 6 :PARO - CHELELA PASS WITH HAA VALLEY


IN THE MORNING AFTER BREAKFAST VISITCHELELA PASS AND HAA VALLEY,OVERNIGHT AT PARO.



DAY 7 :PARO TO Departure at IXB /NJP/HASHIMARA RLY STATION 


After breakfast,check out the hotel and transfer to HASHIMARA Railway Station for your return journey.


Places To Visit In 6N 7D Bhutan Package:

 Buddha Point: Thimpu, the capital and largest city of in Bhutan, and at a top of a hill Buddha dordemna, a massive and ancient statue of Buddha is situated. This gigantic Buddha statue contains 1, 25,000 small Buddhas. This gigantic and all the small statues are made with gilded in gold and bronze.

•Folk Heritage Museum: Folk Heritage Museum is also known as Phelchey Toenkhyim situated In Kawajangsa, in the heart of the capital city. This Museum contributes itself to connect visitors with the rural history through exhibits, rich Bhutanese Folk heritage, educational programs and demonstrations, and documentation of Bhutanese rural life.

• Tashichodzong: On the northern edge of Thimpu, and on the bank of the wang chu in Bhutan and on the western bank of the wang chu The Tashicho Dzong situated. This dzong has three main sections: The King's office, the spiritual division, and the

administration block. One can find a few monks who are always available to welcome the tourists and show them the place around. They will give the travelers information about the brief history of Buddhism in Bhutan and the change of government from monarchy to democracy.

• BBS Tower: The top hills of Sangaygang or the BBS tower gives a clear view of the entire Thimphu valley in a nutshell and one will feel definitely fantastic. In the Country, Bhutan First Broadcasting Service (BBS) runs the radio and television network. This place is ideally located up hills and it gives aged and sporty people a pleasure for a walk and jog.

• National Takin Zoo: Want to see the Takin, the national animal of Bhutan, the national taking zoo, located in the Motithang district of Thimphu is a perfect place for you. It is a habitat to takins. Also this National Takin zoo, also houses a few native deer of Bhutan, including sambar and the barking deer.

• Kyichu Lhakhang: Kyichu Lhakhang, also known as Kyerchu Temple or Lho Kyerchu is located in the north of Paro. As one walks toward this temple they will find the environment is serene and quiet. This is also an ancient monastery and inside the inner courtyard, one can see the painting of the King named Gesar of Ling on the wall.

• Drukgyel Dzong: Drukgyal Dzong means the fortress of the victorious Drukpas, Located in the Phondey village, Paro, is one of the most ancient, famous, and amazing archaeological sites in Bhutan.

•Rinphung Dzong: Paro Dzong or Rinpung Dzong means the fortress of the heap of jewels located in Paro. Most of the area of rinpung dzong is prohibited for the tourists, but one should visit this Dzong for its marvelous architecture.

  • If you cancel under 1 month non refundable.
  • If you cancel under 2 months 30% deduct.
  • If you cancel before that 90% will be refunded.
  • If you cancel immediately after booking 10% will be deducted and sent to you.
